Rebuild the Internet Project

--

The internet is everywhere, it connects the world and allows for people from all different walks of life to meet, converse, and connect. For our project, Naomi Jones and I illustrated the internet through the use of paper and colorful pens. We drew a map of the world, and demonstrated how an email (we used a paper airplane) travels along the colorful dotted lines to different servers around the world, eventually finding its recipient. The internet to me is a immense network of communication, yet also encompasses something as personal as an email back and forth with a friend. It is a giant web of information, yet is a part of minute activities in individual lives. Our project represents both the enormity and intimacy of the internet on an individual and global scale.
